Job Summary
Key User (KU) General Ledger - S/4HANA: Functional expert for General Ledger accounting in SAP S/4HANA (S4 FI & GL Expert). Support testing cycles including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Data analysis: validate G/L configuration related to ledgers, document splitting, financial statement structures, and account determination; analyze GL settings, open item management, and other GL master data settings in R3 to cleanse and synchronize with the S4 landscape. Ensure compliance with IFRS and Local GAAP; ensure accurate migration of balances from R3 into S4 with breakdown by GL, HFM position, PCTR, Business place, etc.; map and create FSV structure for Indian reporting requirements. Process development: document all process activities, support benchmarking to standardize processes, develop Power BI dashboards for transparency, collaborate with global teams for standardization, explore automation opportunities. Training: conduct end-user training, revise DTPs from R3 to S4 and prepare training material to impart know-how to B2P organization on S4 accounting and reporting topics.
Required Qualifications
- Cost & management accountant from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (or) Chartered accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (or) MBA finance (not correspondence) or Accounting and financial management certifications (equivalent to CA / CMA)
- Min 3 years of professional experience in the relevant field
- Experience in cross-functional processes and a matrix organization
- Understanding of financial close processes, provisions, accruals, and financial reporting
- Knowledge of parallel accounting, ledgers, document splitting, and universal journal concepts in SAP systems
- Proficient knowledge of SAP FI - General Ledger Accounting
- Proficient communication skills
- Proficient analytical, problem solving and time management skills
