Job Summary
Provide full-spectrum private banking guidance to high net worth clients by recommending banking, borrowing, and investment solutions. Lead and coordinate the extended advisory team (trust, investment and planning strategists) based on relationship complexity. Gather client needs from reviews and meetings, translate into a comprehensive financial plan, and present solutions through client-facing presentations. Drive growth by expanding existing relationships, sourcing new business, and maintaining a robust referral pipeline. Maintain deep knowledge of financial products, wealth-management services, banking regulations, and competitive offerings. Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver tailored client experiences, while adhering to KeyBank policies and ethical standards. The role blends advisory leadership with business development, requiring strong communication and relationship-management skills, and occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business related field (preferred) OR equivalent experience (required)
- 5 years of demonstrated sales and business development experience with proven results (required)
- Licenses and Certifications: FINRA License S7 (required) and FINRA License S66 (preferred) or FINRA License S63 (preferred) and FINRA License S65 (preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge of Investments, Trust, and Credit; ability to consult and prioritize client needs
- Ability to build trust with client-centric approach
- Demonstrated strong or advanced knowledge of financial wealth management services and products
- Licenses/Certifications: CFP, CIMA, CPA, CFA, etc. (preferred)
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) (preferred)
- Licensed Attorney/JD (varies by state) (preferred)
