Job Summary
Forklift Operator at JAM Industries (Southaven, MS) responsible for the safe operation of forklift equipment and transportation of materials between receiving, storage, service and shipping areas. Performs pre-inspection of equipment, may assist in loading/unloading with pallet jack, and supports other departments as needed. Responsibilities include moving and securing materials, maintaining accurate inventory counts, coordinating with managers and vendors, and ensuring safety and quality compliance. Requires 3-6 months in manufacturing/distribution, at least 1 year forklift driving experience, and a High School Diploma or GED. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have a forklift license or ability to obtain one
- 1 year experience driving a forklift
- 3-6 months’ experience in manufacturing or distribution
- Detail-oriented; able to read purchase orders and packing lists
- Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Team-oriented and autonomous
- Basic Excel experience and effective verbal/email communication
