Job Summary
Act as the primary contact for designated customers, managing quoting, tracking, tracing, and routing of domestic and international shipments. Resolve problems, maintain carrier relationships, and ensure QMS compliance while managing daily on-time and defect codes. Scan and file paperwork, respond to emails and calls within one hour, and assist local sales offices with freight issues. Maintain accurate status codes in AIT systems and provide thorough turnover to customer service teammates for night and weekend coverage. This role supports AIT Worldwide Logistics, a global freight forwarder helping companies expand market access through scalable door-to-door deliveries via sea, air, ground, and rail.
Required Qualifications
- Associates' Degree or equivalent
- Experience in international operations
Desired Qualifications
- 3 -5 years experience preferred
- Freight forwarding experience is preferred
- Experience with CargoWise computer system is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
- Strong problem solving skills with ability to develop new ideas and innovative solutions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High attention to details and accuracy
- Ability work and adapt in a high volume, fast paced work environment
