Job Summary
Key Account Manager responsible for managing strategically important customers in the mining sector for Sandvik in Solwezi, Zambia. Develops and grows key customer accounts through an account-management process aligned with customers' strategic requirements and Sandvik offerings. Travel to key customer sites is necessary up to 50% of the time. Mentoring Junior Key Account Manager and cross-functional coordination to grow market share, increase share of wallet, and drive customer loyalty. Create and manage an Account Business Plan to drive long-term value, engage internal and external stakeholders, and ensure understanding of Sandvik's offerings by customer stakeholders. Strong emphasis on relationship-building, value delivery, and achieving growth through teamwork and collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in engineering/business/management or a minimum of 10 years experience in Sales of Heavy Equipment and after sales experience
- Experience in Surface Mining and Drilling Equipment is a must
- English language proficiency
- Basic Computer Literacy
- Knowledge of Sandvik products and/or services and their applications will be an added advantage
- A valid driver’s license
- High sense of identifying and delivering value
- Goal driven and have a track record of achieving those great results through teamwork and collaboration
- Excellent communication skills
- Business development and sales experience with demonstrated growth results
- Demonstrated ability to identify and successfully execute a plan to achieve a desired outcome
- A high level of initiative, drive, and determination to set targets and achieve goals through exceptional levels of customer satisfaction is a key consideration in the selection for this position
- Physical and medical ability to work in a mining environment
- Should be a Zambian National or Permanent Residence Permit holder
