Job Summary
Key Account Manager to manage Buhler’s strategically important client accounts, serving as the main point of contact and driving revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling Buhler’s portfolio. Responsible for revenue, order booking, and P&L of assigned accounts, developing strategic account plans, building trusted relationships across customer organizations, coordinating with internal functions (engineering, quoting, accounting), preparing quotes and SOM reports, maintaining CRM data, and traveling to customer sites for in-person meetings (60% travel). Requires collaboration to address customer needs, develop future business opportunities, and deliver service that aligns with customers’ long-term goals. Must lead cross-functional solution development, support negotiations, and maintain strong communication with key decision makers while representing Buhler across multiple levels of customer organizations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent
- 8+ years proven success in capital equipment sales; or a combination of education and experience
- Strong relationship building, sales and negotiating skills
- Strong presentation skills, written and verbal communication
- Advanced MS Office skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Demonstrates leadership and ability to work with senior level executives
