Job Summary
Administer ketamine via IV while monitoring patients and managing care in a calm, supportive setting. Explain infusion procedures to patients and families, providing calm emotional support throughout treatment. Demonstrate thorough documentation and offer telehealth support to providers and patients when not administering infusions. Maintain flexibility to jump in where needed as a team. Requires an active RN license, IV expertise, and strong communication skills. Work three 12-hour shifts weekly with a 1:2 patient-to-nurse ratio in an outpatient clinic.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) License – current, active and unrestricted
- Completion of an accredited nursing program
- Confident with IV placement, upkeep, and management from start to finish
- Solid knowledge of meds, sterile technique, and infection control
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – a focus on patient experience
- Flexibility and adaptability as situations require
- This position is contingent on successfully completing a criminal background check and drug screen upon hire
