Job Summary
Certified Medication Technician (CMT) provides direct resident care and administers medications per individualized care plans, including glucose monitoring and insulin administration (insulin-certified technicians). Responsibilities include documenting observations and interventions, ensuring timely handoffs between shifts, monitoring vital signs and weights, assisting with activities of daily living, and supporting restorative nursing techniques. The role requires following the five rights of medication administration, participating in medication delivery system oversight, communicating with physicians, health care proxies, supervisors, and families, and promoting safety and independence for residents. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and state-certified medication aide/technician certification; CPR/BLS and insulin certification are preferred. Required Qualifications
