Job Summary
Feed, water, walk, bathe, and monitor boarded animals while safely transporting them between kennels, exam rooms, and the lobby. Assist veterinarians and technicians with restraint, positioning, and minor procedures as directed. Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of all kennels, runs, and facility areas, including outdoor spaces, in accordance with hospital protocols. Greet owners, answer phones, assist with belongings, and ensure clear communication throughout the boarding process. Monitor and report any health or behavioral changes in animals to leadership promptly. Manage inventory of cleaning and kennel supplies and report replenishment needs. Unpack deliveries, restock treatment and exam areas, and remove expired or damaged items. Work collaboratively with team members to support smooth hospital operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule
- Must be available for scheduling during all hours the practice is open
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely handle animals up to 130 pounds
- Comfortable sitting, standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods throughout the workday
- Professional, neat appearance consistent with hospital standards
