Job Summary
Provide direct support to the veterinary team by handling and restraining animals, administering medication, and walking patients requiring assistance. Maintain cleanliness of the boarding area and clinic while restocking kennel supplies, bathing, and grooming animals. Ensure proper nutrition through knowledge of basic husbandry and feeding protocols. Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment involving animal care and facility management.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift and restrain pets of at least 40 pounds
- Ability to handle stressful situations and prioritize tasks effectively
- Team player, have patience and maintain a positive attitude
Desired Qualifications
- Professional experience in a veterinary clinical setting (CSR, kennel attendant, vet assistant, other), preferred
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve
