Job Summary
Provide care for patients visiting for grooming and boarding by admitting them, recording feeding schedules and behavior, and administering medication as needed. Walk patients several times daily for exercise and elimination, apply special food or liquids, and restrain difficult patients safely. Maintain hygiene by cleaning cages, disinfecting kennels, laundering towels, and emptying trash throughout the practice and grounds. Ensure patients are clean, properly identified, and discharged with all personal items before leaving. Available weekdays 4pm–7pm and weekends 7am–12pm, with Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday day shifts also open. Pay range $11–$13/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work on weekends as required
- Ability to lift patients up to 25 pounds
- Ability to lift patients over 25 pounds with assistance
- Practices OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE
Desired Qualifications
- Previous veterinary experience preferred
