Job Summary
Admit patients for grooming and boarding by noting client instructions, contact details, and pick-up times. Walk, feed, and administer medication to patients as needed under supervision. Clean cages, runs, and ward areas; wash laundry; launder towels and blankets. Disinfect kennels, sterilize bowls, and empty trash throughout the practice and grounds. Observe patient activity for signs of illness or discontent. Restrain hard-to-control patients and ensure all personal property is returned upon discharge. Work weekends as required with a preference for previous veterinary experience.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work on weekends as required
- Ability to lift patients up to 25 pounds
- Ability to lift patients over 25 pounds with assistance
- Practices OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE
Desired Qualifications
- Previous veterinary experience preferred
