Job Summary

Inspect, diagnose, and identify work requiring completion on various vehicles, then perform adjustments, calibrations, fluid replenishment, and component repairs. Disassemble and reassemble parts, replace components, and use independent judgment to document all work per manufacturer and company policies. Road test vehicles to ensure quality and issue resolution. Operate electronic diagnostic equipment and handle tools producing significant vibration, including lifting weights up to 100 pounds. Requires steady hand, dexterity, and ability to stand, walk, crouch, and kneel throughout the shift. Valid driver's license and ability to operate automatic and manual transmissions are required.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Service Technician or mechanical experience at a dealership or large independent shop
  • Ford Certification
  • B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
  • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Able to operate a wide variety of both automatic and manual transmission
  • Able to drive various vehicles including cars, trucks, and vans, including hybrid models

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience at a Ford dealership is preferred
  • Previous experience working with luxury vehicles is preferred
