Job Summary
Educational Assistant in Kenaston School (Kenaston, SK) for a temporary part-time role (6.5 hours/day, 90 student days, Aug 31 2026–Jun 25 2027). Supports students’ physical, cognitive, and medical needs, including personal care, lifting/transferring, diabetic monitoring, feeding tubes, seizure response, and following student health-care plans. May assist with toileting/hygiene and behaviour support; implement activities as recommended by occupational, physical, and speech-language pathology professionals. Collaborates with classroom teachers, student support staff, principal, and other professionals to promote integration, growth, learning, safety, and well-being of students with intensive needs. Physical ability to lift/assist students required. Employment terms and wage range per CUPE Local 4802. Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sector Check required prior to confirmation.
Required Qualifications
- Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
- post-secondary education in a related field (Educational Assistant Certificate asset)
- experience with cognitive or physical limitations asset
- ability to lift/transfer
- team-based collaboration
- wage and terms per CUPE Local 4802 collective agreement
