Job Summary
The Civil/Mechanical Equipment Operator is responsible for adhering to safety rules and regulations, following verbal and written instructions, assisting the supervisor, and maintaining quality work according to project specifications. This role demands accountability for tools and materials, alongside the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Key responsibilities include mobilization of equipment, ensuring proper maintenance of tools and equipment, and performing physical tasks such as lifting and manipulating hand tools. Candidates should have at least 1-2 years of relevant experience and must possess a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years related experience excavating near underground utilities
- Valid driver’s license
Desired Qualifications
- Class A CDL with airbrakes and tanker endorsement
Additional Requirements
- Must comply with company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy
- Must be clean shaven and able to work while wearing a respirator and other personal protective equipment when required
- Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company
