Job Summary
Provide daily care, feeding, and habitat maintenance for a diverse collection of wildlife across 440 acres; perform enrichment and contribute to conservation breeding programs for species such as cheetahs and tigers; assist in hand rearing and in park projects including habitat improvements; communicate effectively with team and guests; apply knowledge of animal husbandry; work independently and with others; duties require lifting up to 50 pounds and outdoor work in varying weather; schedule includes weekends and holidays; job located at Lee G. Simmons Conservation Park and Wildlife Safari in Ashland, NE.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state driver’s license
- At least 18 years old
- Bachelor’s degree in Zoology, Biology, or related field preferred
- Pre-employment background check
- Drug test
- Negative skin tuberculosis test
- Good driving history
- Weekend/holiday availability
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Experience in animal husbandry or related field recommended
