Job Summary
Lead KDB+ software engineering efforts for JPMorgan Chase’s Equities Trading platform, designing and delivering scalable KDB-based systems (including a global KDB ticker plant) for real-time and historical futures data, collaborating with Algo and QR teams, migrating to AWS, guiding/mentoring the team, and driving continuous improvement of coding standards and SDLC practices.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years hands-on experience with KDB and Q language (mid-level to senior)
- Deep understanding of KDB+ tick design, data organization, and performance optimization
- Experience with large datasets, query optimization, and high-availability KDB apps
- Experience collaborating with quant, algo, or trading teams
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery
- Proficient in SDLC
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, resiliency, and security
- Experience with requirements capture, task decomposition, estimation, delivery planning, and user acceptance testing
- Experience with scaling and load-balancing KDB applications
