Job Summary
The role involves providing holistic nursing care to patients with psychiatric and behavioral health needs in a secure forensic facility. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, nursing diagnoses, planning and implementing patient care, providing individual and group counseling, managing safety within the therapeutic environment, and engaging in leadership focused on patient care and quality improvement. Compliance with facility policies, attendance requirements, and mandatory operations is required.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse License
- Specialized knowledge in psychiatric-mental health nursing
- Skills in counseling (individual and group)
- Crisis intervention skills
- Knowledge of problem-solving techniques
- Experience in health teaching and promotion
- Ability to manage therapeutic milieu safely
Additional Requirements
- Mandatory overtime
- Subject to irregular day/shift rotation
