Job Summary

Provide attentive, engaging care for three children, including neurodiverse boys with ADHD, by supporting emotional regulation, executive functioning, and age-appropriate independence. Collaborate with parents and therapists to implement developmental strategies while managing laundry, school routines, homework, and educational outings. Plan daily activities ranging from arts and crafts to outdoor adventures, and supervise safe swimming with vigilant water safety practices. Assist with household operations by maintaining inventory, coordinating groceries and appointments, and supporting travel planning for domestic and international trips. Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, encouraging children to participate in cooking. Walk and supervise the family's Golden Retriever, and provide occasional overnight or weekend coverage as needed. The role requires a full-time commitment of 45 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, with Thursday extending to 10:00 pm.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a nanny
  • At least 3 years as a family assistant or household manager in a private home
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as a nanny or family assistant in New York City
  • Legally able to work as a W-2 employee
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Valid passport
  • CPR and First Aid Certified
  • Comfortable swimming
  • Non-smoker
  • Fluent English
  • Excellent references
  • Comfortable working with pets
  • Support overnight or occasional weekend coverage
  • Support the family during travel, domestic and international
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Transportation back to the city during off-schedule

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting neurodiverse children, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, or emotional regulation
  • Strong understanding of child development and positive behavior support
  • Confident collaborating with therapists, educators, and parents
  • Highly proactive with organizational skills
  • Comfortable prioritizing childcare while also proactively assisting with household responsibilities while children are in school or with the parents
  • Passion for travel planning and organization
  • Musical ability, artistic interests, or creative hobbies
