Job Summary
KC-46 PT Pilot Instructor role responsible for simulator-based training (WST and other devices) for KC-46 pilots and maintenance personnel, including briefings/debriefings, trainee progress assessment, and courseware updates. Requires delivering Initial/Upgrade/Requalification/Refresher training, maintaining proficiency in KC-46 systems, and supporting training development and QA. Must hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), have extensive flight/instructor experience in AAR contexts, be able to obtain SECRET clearance, and be willing to travel. Travel and use of multiple training devices and systems (WST, PTTP, PTTB, BOT, FuT) are involved. Strong English communication, instructional skills, and familiarity with security/export control regulations are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent education, experience, and training, is required.
- Experience as a qualified Receiver Air-to-Air Refueling (AAR) Pilot Flight Instructor, or as a Receiver AAR Aircrew Training System (ATS) Instructor. Either position must have been held within 5 years of the date of assignment to the KC-46 ATS.
- Minimum of 200 flying hours in U.S. Air Force or Allied Nation receiver aircraft, or equivalent flight simulator, with at least 50% in the aircraft.
- Tanker AAR Pilot Instructor experience is highly desirable.
- Type rating in B-767 preferred.
- Currently possess, or demonstrate the ability to obtain, a SECRET clearance.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent education, experience, and training, is required.
- Experience as a qualified Receiver Air-to-Air Refueling (AAR) Pilot Flight Instructor, or as a Receiver AAR Aircrew Training System (ATS) Instructor. Either position must have been held within 5 years of the date of assignment to the KC-46 ATS.
