Job Summary
KBI Biopharma is seeking a Maintenance Technician II responsible for installation, day-to-day 24/7 operation, maintenance and modification of site systems. The role covers corrective and preventive maintenance across architectural, structural/civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process equipment, and utility systems using CMMS. Responsibilities include following SOPs/work plans, safe work practices, troubleshooting and repairing facilities and systems, providing recommendations to improve maintenance, and preparing maintenance/quality documentation (including deviations, CAPA, change controls, SOP revisions). The technician should work independently and as part of a team, exercise independent judgment, and adapt to changing priorities.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- A.S./A.A. Degree in Mechanical/Utilities Technology OR Licensed Journeyman (optional)
- minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a general maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment OR five (5) years with A.S./A.A. degree or licensed journeyman
- prior experience with general utility systems, boilers, electrical, HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Universal CFC Refrigerant License preferred
- prior experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred
- ability to read and comprehend instructions
- ability to write routine correspondence
- ability to respond to inquiries
- math skills to compute rates, ratios, percentages
- ability to walk, climb, lift equipment
- MS Office, CMMS experience (Blue Mountain)
