KAZ Field Service Technician II

Job Summary
Field Service Technician II responsible for technical and mechanical services on Reciprocating Compression equipment at customer sites (workshops, compressor stations, process plants). Duties include planning and executing on-site installation activities, investigating and resolving equipment issues, performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing engine and compressor problems, field testing, and performing repairs. The role involves extensive field travel (up to 250 days/year), long workdays, safety/environmental reviews, and coordinating with customer teams to maintain relationships and resolve issues. Requires an associates degree with technical concentration (Bachelor’s preferred) or equivalent experience, at least 1 year of reciprocating compression experience, and experience with high-speed compressors and engines from brands such as Cooper Bessemer, Ajax, Superior, Gemini, Waukesha, and Caterpillar; English, Kazakh, and Russian language proficiency. Mastery of basic shop math, documentation, and ability to participate in turnarounds and process hazard reviews is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree with a technical concentration (Bachelor’s Degree preferred) or equivalent work experience
- Formal technical training in oil and gas industry or related field
- 1 year of experience in Reciprocating Compression
- Experience with high speed reciprocating compressors and engines (e.g., Ariel, Superior, GEMINI, Waukesha, Caterpillar)
- Safety-focused, service-oriented, and customer-relationship skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work long hours, travel extensively (up to 250 days/year) and lift 40-50 pounds
- Education – technical training in engine and compressor basics
- English, Kazakh, Russian language proficiency
