Job Summary
Part-time Residential Stabilization Worker provides stabilization in a home-like environment for youth in placement and those in mental health crisis using the Teaching Family Model, and assists with daily operations of the Kauffman House program. Responsibilities include overseeing the treatment program, implementing Teaching Family Model components, developing and revising individualized treatment plans, collaborating with parents/guardians, schools, social workers, and other stakeholders, managing budget and documentation, maintaining the facility, assessing youth in mental health crises, ensuring state licensing and Teaching Family Association standards, and participating in training and consultations. The role requires strong record-keeping, teamwork, and willingness to engage with youth and families in a supportive, standards-driven environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field from an accredited college (preferred)
- Experience working with youth at risk or their families
- Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Must carry own auto insurance with at least 100,000/300,000/100,000 coverage
- Ability to maintain records and document case notes daily
- Ability to give and accept feedback as a part of a team
- Ability to traverse within the workspace and community frequently
- Ability to ascend/descend stairs
- Ability to transport at least 25 pounds
- Be willing to learn and work with the treatment philosophies
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
