Conduct clinics for continuity of care, administer medications and fluids, and establish medical diagnoses for common health problems. Assess and manage minor physical and psychological issues while ordering, performing, and interpreting laboratory tests. Direct staff implementation of policies, mentor less experienced personnel, and evaluate care effectiveness. Plan patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention, review medical records for completeness, and complete billing forms. Represent the department in community outreach and participate in multidisciplinary quality improvement teams. Requires an MD degree, Maryland state licensure, and 1-2 years of practice experience.
