Job Summary
Run the Main Stage karaoke show by organizing and balancing the song queue to ensure fair transitions between performers. Hype up the room with upbeat announcements, cheer for guests, and encourage engagement through song additions and drink specials. Utilize state-of-the-art lighting, fog, haze, and LED walls to elevate the experience and keep the energy flowing. Set up and test all sound, lighting, and karaoke software before each shift, while monitoring microphone quality and safeguarding equipment throughout the night. Communicate with bartenders and servers regarding last calls and VIP details, and maintain a clean, organized stage and booth area.
Required Qualifications
- Experience organizing and balancing a song queue for karaoke shows
- Ability to make fair and exciting transitions between performers
- Skill in cheering for guests and making short, upbeat announcements
- Ability to keep energy flowing in a room
- Experience using lighting and special effects (fog, haze, gobos, LED walls)
- Ability to help guests add songs to the queue
- Experience promoting drink specials
- Experience supporting events like birthdays or VIP parties
- Ability to set up and test sound, lighting, and karaoke software
- Ability to monitor microphone and sound quality
- Ability to safeguard equipment and ensure only authorized staff handle gear
- Ability to report technical issues or malfunctions
- Experience communicating with bartenders and servers regarding last call, birthdays, and VIP details
- Ability to keep the stage and booth area clean and organized
- Experience supporting management with special events and themed nights
