Kaqchikel Interpreter

Job Summary
Interpret and facilitate in-person interpretation for minors in care settings, serving as a communication liaison between minors and Care Staff to ensure accurate, confidential, and culturally appropriate interpretation. Provide translation/interpretation services to orient minors to community resources, support staff with building rapport and understanding cultural context, and assist with special projects. Primary work is in-person at client sites, with secondary support via telephone, videoconference, or other virtual platforms; role may require shift work and 100% travel if not near a current site. Proficiency in English and Kaqchikel (ILR 2+) is required; may require Public Trust clearance; valid driver’s license is required; position is temporary, full-time; SCA-based compensation and benefits apply.

- Valid driver’s license
