Job Summary
Policy Analyst role within Reason Foundation's Koch Associate Program (KAP) focused on criminal justice and drug policy reform. Responsible for researching, summarizing, and analyzing state laws and legislation; writing commentary and blog posts for Reason.org; preparing data and materials for legislative testimony, briefings, events, and media appearances; assisting with policy research and communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences. Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, able to tackle large projects independently, and capable of effective writing and data-driven analysis. Occasional travel may be required; position located in-office in Los Angeles or Washington, DC, or remotely anywhere in the US.
