Job Summary

Contract Instructional Coach / Master Educator (1099) for Nebraska border districts. Seeking experienced Secondary ELA educators to support grades 6–12 across Nebraska with on-site instructional coaching, modeling lessons, and collaborative professional development. Responsibilities include collaborating with ELA teachers, aligning curriculum to state standards, conducting classroom observations with actionable feedback, co-teaching, leading PD on writing instruction, text complexity, close reading, and academic vocabulary, analyzing student data to guide literacy interventions, designing rigorous assessments and instructional materials, and building teacher capacity through coaching cycles. Ideal candidates hold deep ELA expertise, have coached teachers or led ELA departments, possess data-analytic skills, and can drive into Nebraska from bordering states. Compensation is a competitive daily rate with flexible scheduling; background checks and state-screening procedures are required, and consultants will work as 1099 contractors serving Nebraska schools while residing in a bordering state (e.g., Kansas City, KS area). This role emphasizes improving adolescent literacy outcomes and educator effectiveness through professional development and coaching partnerships across districts in Nebraska. Includes travel considerations and a focus on collaboration with school leaders and educators to scale literacy achievement across the state.
