Job Summary
Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to geriatric patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities, including assessing mental status, diagnosing DSM-V disorders, and developing treatment plans with psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological approaches. Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists; requires Kansas RN license in psychiatry and Kansas Pharmacy license to prescribe controlled substances (DEA). 1 year of geriatric psychiatry experience and 1 year in SNF/acute rehab settings. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. Flexible scheduling with PTO, CEU support, and comprehensive benefits after orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in Kansas by the Kansas Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry
- Licensed by the Kansas Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (DEA)
- 1 year of Geriatric Psychiatry experience
- 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals
