Job Summary
Licensed mental health therapist role within SNF/LTC settings in Kansas. Responsibilities include completing diagnostic evaluations, providing psychotherapy, developing treatment plans, and consulting with BHS psychiatrists, psychologists, care coordinators, and facility staff in-person at partner facilities. Documentations in the EMR (Athena I) must be timely and compliant with agency policies. Requires Master’s degree (Social Work or Counseling or other eligible master’s), Kansas licensure as LCSW/LMFT/LPC, NPI, Medicaid/Medicare credentialing is a plus, vaccinations/TB test, CPR/AED/First Aid, and strong written/spoken communication with excellent interpersonal skills. Spanish language ability is a plus. Compensation includes base salary with incentives, generous PTO, CEU allowances, and comprehensive benefits; flexible scheduling and four weeks PTO, plus holidays and 401(k) matching. Location-based roles at Kansas City, KS and Overland Park, KS, with in-person responsibilities at SNF/LTC facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Social Work, Counseling, or other eligible master's degree
- Kansas licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC
- NPI (National Provider Identifier)
- Credentialed with Medicaid/Medicare a PLUS!
- TB Test
- CPR/AED/First Aid Certification
- Vaccinations (up-to-date or appropriate exemptions)
- Spanish language skills a plus
- Proficiency with EMR (Athena I)
