Develop lesson plans integrating Kangaroo Math concepts with the US Common Core curriculum while teaching problem-solving strategies, logic, and creative thinking. Cover topics including number theory, geometry, fractions, and logical puzzles using interactive tools, games, and visual aids. Foster a positive online learning environment by introducing real-world scenarios, providing personalized support, and conducting regular quizzes, assignments, and mock tests to assess progress. Prepare students for Kangaroo Math competitions through practice sessions, feedback, and techniques for solving non-routine problems. Adapt lesson plans to individual needs and maintain accurate grading records using EdTech platforms like Zoom or Google Classroom.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years teaching math
- Experience with Kangaroo Math or similar competitions
- Familiarity with the US Common Core curriculum
- Familiarity with international math competitions
- Strong mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in teaching abstract concepts to diverse learners effectively
- Expertise in using EdTech platforms to create interactive and engaging lessons
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A stable internet connection
- A computer with a webcam and microphone
- Familiarity with virtual teaching tools
