Job Summary
Assist teachers in instruction, classroom activities, and student supervision under the principal's direction. Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring, prepare instructional materials, and support students with disabilities through IEP and BIP implementation. Supervise students during recess and lunch to ensure safety, enforce rules, and maintain orderly environments. Collect behavior data, monitor academic progress, and respond to critical situations or emergencies as needed. Maintain professional confidentiality and communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff. Work assigned hours with physical presence required at the worksite.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to work effectively with staff and students
- Ability to exercise emotional control in difficult situations
- Ability to solve a variety of problems relating to individual student needs and behaviors
- Knowledge of and assistance for the safety and security of students
- Ability to work assigned hours
- Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Ability to move about inside and outside the school
- Ability to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
- Ability to occasionally ascend/descend a ladder/stairs
- Ability to constantly position self to maintain files, students, or objects
- Ability to have the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
- Ability to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Ability to have the ability to observe details at close and far range
- Ability to frequently move items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
