Job Summary
Design and develop new components, equipment, or machinery to support production goals while improving existing equipment to increase efficiency, reliability, and uptime. Diagnose root causes of mechanical and electrical issues, assist maintenance teams with troubleshooting, and implement corrective actions for equipment breakdowns. Perform metal fabrication using milling machines, lathes, CNC equipment, welders, and grinders to build electrical cabinets and control systems. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and processes, working independently or as part of a team on continuous improvement projects. Communicate project updates, timelines, and results to cross-functional teams and management.
Required Qualifications
- Technical certificate in industrial technology or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Solid understanding of manufacturing principles, equipment, and production processes
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Kaizen or continuous improvement training/certifications
- Experience with robotics, CNC machinery, pneumatics, PLCs, and industrial electrical/mechanical systems
