Job Summary
Support residents with meals, drinks, and mobility therapy plans while providing emotional support for those feeling anxious or isolated. Maintain a safe environment by assisting with fall prevention and helping individuals participate in small group activities alongside therapists. Keep accurate progress notes and alert clinical staff to any concerns. This permanent part-time roster runs Saturday to Wednesday for seven hours daily. Required Qualifications
- Willingness to complete NZQA Dementia training modules
- Emotional resilience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong commitment to teamwork
- Strong commitment to continuous learning
- Willingness to work a roster of Saturday to Wednesday
- 7-hours per day
- Start and finish times to be negotiated
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in aged care
- Experience working in a related support role
