Job Summary
Provide individual and group support to youth in a treatment-based residential setting, including case management and behaviour management. Develop, implement, and participate in structured and unstructured programming and daily activities. Liaise effectively with involved professionals and significant family members. Maintain the residential facility, including cleaning and meal preparation as required. Complete accurate and timely documentation, including daily logs, intake reports, treatment plans, progress reports, summaries, and treatment team meeting minutes. Attend and participate in regular staff meetings. Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and residential program standards. Maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with team members. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Child and Youth Care or a related field
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Access to a reliable vehicle
- Successful completion of CYIM/CSIS check
- Successful completion of Criminal Record Check
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop, plan, and organize programming aligned with program goals and objectives
- Knowledge of behaviour management and youth support practices
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to build rapport with youth while maintaining professional boundaries
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and protecting sensitive information
- Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to work shifts during evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
