Job Summary
Architect and deploy microservices using Spring Boot, Kafka, and Red Hat OpenShift on Kubernetes clusters. Manage, scale, and monitor containerized applications while balancing new development with critical maintenance and testing. Configure event-driven workflows and administer Kafka systems within a high-availability environment. This eight-month contract involves deep integration of AI tools like Claude Code and extensive use of automated unit testing with JUnit. The role requires strong proficiency in Java/JEE microservices, GitHub, JIRA, and Oracle Exadata, with a preference for CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
- Three or more years of U.S. residency as a Permanent Resident Alien
- 8+ years Java/JEE microservices development with Spring REST and Spring Boot
- 4+ years integrating KAFKA for Event Driven Workflows
- 2 years of KAFKA Administration
- 1 year using AI Tools such as Claude Code
- 4 years working with Red Hat OpenShift Container platform
- 4 years developing automated unit tests with JUnit
- 4 years Eclipse or Spring Tool Suite or JBoss studio
- 3+ years Github, JIRA
- 2+ years Oracle Exadata
