Job Summary
K9 Handler role within Andy Frain Services’ Armed Person Borne K9 Detection program in the Atlanta, GA area, requiring incident/emergency response, standby duty, and client demonstrations (including weekends, holidays, nights, and overnights). Responsibilities include maintaining and certifying canines, health and welfare of the canine, training records, and adherence to firearms-related policies; must possess or obtain single and dual-purpose canine handler certificates, have 3+ years of law enforcement or military canine handling experience, and readiness to remain with the program for at least three years. The candidate must provide a secure outdoor area for the canine, reside at a suitable home with kennel facilities, maintain a valid driver’s license, and comply with all safety and policy requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Single purpose canine handler certificate or possess the ability to obtain same prior to commencing work
- Dual purpose canine handler certificate or possess the ability to obtain same prior to commencing work
- Three (3) or more years law enforcement canine handling experience, or three (3) or more years military canine handling experience or similarly documented substantially similar experience acquired elsewhere
