Job Summary
Coordinate and execute dog adoption processes, maintain records in Salesforce and Smartsheet, plan and facilitate on-campus and off-campus adoption events (including weekend/evening work), promote adoptable canines on social media, provide information to staff and public, ensure documentation for adopted dogs (behavior, household needs, medical records), coordinate with Adoptions Trainers on training plans, assist in dog handling during meet-and-greets, help build partner relationships, transport dogs as needed, and represent K9s For Warriors in media/public speaking. Requires HS diploma or equivalent, ability to understand dog body language, experience in related animal field, valid driver’s license, strong communication and computer skills, and ability to perform physical tasks (lifting up to 50 pounds) with weekend availability.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. diploma or equivalent
- Ability to understand dog body language is required
- Previous work in related animal field is required
- Valid driver’s license and ability be covered by facility driving insurance required
- Good communication skills in one on one, over phone, by email, and in group settings
- Must have basic computer literacy skills and be able to handle multiple unrelated tasks simultaneously while working in a busy environment
