Job Summary
Lead and supervise semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel on a first-shift basis at Newport News Shipbuilding. Responsible for assigning, coordinating, evaluating, and training staff; translating broad strategies into actionable plans; ensuring adherence to drawings and procedures; overseeing manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations with significant financial impact; supervising qualified trades staff and monitoring job and budget performance across shifts. Requires ensuring training development, process compliance, and delivery of quality/quantity improvements; must have a BS/Apprentice with 4+ years supervisory experience or equivalent combined experience in production supervision and/or CS; strong leadership, budgeting, and safety acumen. U.S. Citizenship required; relocation assistance not provided; telework not eligible.
Required Qualifications
- BS/Apprentice + 4 years production supervisor experience OR Non-BS/Non-Apprentice with 6 years combined production supervisory experience and/or CS experience.
