Job Summary
Analyze student performance data to identify learners requiring intervention and develop targeted instructional plans aligned with the school's Direct Instruction and Core Knowledge curriculum. Deliver evidence-based reading services to K–8 students, primarily Grades K–6, while monitoring progress through ongoing assessments and adjusting instruction to maximize growth. Collaborate with classroom teachers and school leadership to coordinate support, serve as the primary contact for families, and prepare quarterly progress reports. Maintain accurate intervention documentation and participate in professional development and faculty meetings. This 11-month full-time role supports academic excellence at Mystic Valley Regional Charter School in Malden, Massachusetts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Reading, Literacy, Special Education, or a related field
- Massachusetts Reading Specialist license or eligibility
- Minimum of three years of experience in reading intervention, literacy instruction, or a related role
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based literacy instruction, reading intervention strategies, and assessment practices
- Experience analyzing student data to inform instructional decisions
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff
