Job Summary
Administer and interpret Math assessments with grade level teams to identify students needing Tier 2 or Tier 3 intervention. Deliver focused, sequential Math instruction using research-based materials aligned with Common Core State Standards and district curriculum. Establish clear learning objectives, utilize technology to support instruction, and collaborate with classroom teachers to monitor individual progress and review data for instructional decisions. Develop weekly lessons targeting specific student needs, proctor K-8 assessments including MCAS and ACCESS, and communicate regularly with families using culturally responsive strategies. Interpret i-Ready diagnostic results to drive instruction and co-plan with Special Education and ESL teachers to support students with disabilities and English Learners.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Massachusetts teacher certification, Math All Levels
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in a K-8 classroom
- Knowledge of Common Core Frameworks
- Possess a deep understanding of Mathematical theory for the purpose of instruction and best practices
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education
- Dual Licensure in Special Education and/or English as a Second Language Experience
- Working in an urban public schools setting
- Experience with multiple Math curricula with English Learners and Students with Disabilities
