Job Summary
K-5 Teacher at Elon Elementary. Responsibilities include planning and providing learning experiences for students, fostering intellectual, physical, social and emotional development, supervising students, monitoring and evaluating outcomes, communicating with students, parents, staff, and community, developing instructional plans and materials to meet diverse needs, maintaining records, ensuring safety, and following procedures. Requires engaging with ABSS curriculum, integrating technology, applying multicultural instructional practices, maintaining classroom management and record-keeping, and collaborating with administrators and families. Bachelor's degree and NC teaching license required; National Board Certification and Spanish-speaking skills are preferred. Location: Elon, NC; schedule mirrors a standard school week with 40 hours per week; 10 months per year.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in an applicable field for applicable level(s)
- Must hold a valid Teacher’s License issued by the state of NC in applicable field and for level assigned
- Must not be on the NCDPI list of teachers no longer qualified to teach and/or must not be currently engaged in a certification revocation hearing process
