Job Summary
K-5 Music Teacher responsible for guiding student learning in music, including singing and rhythm instruments, developing lesson plans, assessing progress, and organizing performances. duties include preparing for classes, implementing diverse instructional strategies, maintaining records (attendance and grades), collaborating with the Fine Arts Department to support a K-12 succession of programs, and upholding CSCS’s missional standards, doctrinal statements, and Christian education integration. Requires demonstrated spiritual maturity, effective communication with students and families, understanding of K-5 curriculum, and ability to adapt projects to curriculum goals. Includes opportunities to participate in curriculum/staff development and after-school activities as requested by administration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts (Music preferred) degree from an accredited college or university
- Has or able to obtain Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) teacher certificate by the end of the first year of teaching
- Has or able to obtain CPR & First Aid training
