K-5 Instructional Assistant (2026-2027) - South Mebane

The Instructional Assistant provides one-on-one and small group academic support, assists with classroom instruction, and helps maintain a safe, orderly learning environment. Primary duties include assisting the lead teacher with instruction and assessment, proctoring tests, performing clerical tasks, maintaining student progress records, and supporting students with behavior and learning needs as directed by the teacher and principal. The role may involve aiding with testing environments, monitoring student safety and well-being, and helping prepare instructional materials and displays, as well as assisting with grading and general classroom support as assigned.
