Job Summary
Lead K-5 students in academic enrichment, arts, STEM, and community building activities while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe program space. Assist with daily procedures, manage student attendance, and support children's academic and social-emotional needs through active play and project-based learning. Ensure the organization's mission is put into practice by implementing the After School model, attending team meetings, and performing other assigned duties. Work in-person at various sites from 2:45 pm to 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with a 12:1 camper-to-adult ratio. This role empowers students to embrace their genius and explore learning experiences that enhance health and well-being within the Neighborhood Learning Alliance Afterschool Program.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Some college experience
- Experience in education
- Experience in social work
- Experience in public service
- Experience in health careers
- Experience in nonprofits
- Currently studying education
- Currently studying social work

- Strong communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate professional responsibilities
- Passion to serving the community and ensuring student success
- Basic knowledge of using technology (computers, iPad, tablets, projector, etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Comfortable communicating with elementary school students and families
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs
- Must be able to work the summer camp dates five days a week
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
