K-3 Instructional Coach

Job Summary
K–3 Instructional Coach responsible for observing, modeling, giving actionable feedback, and co-teaching to improve early literacy and math instruction. Collaborates with K–3 classroom teachers daily, brings data to conversations, and drives instruction using results from assessments like NWEA, IREAD, Core Phonics Screener, and Acadience Reading (DIBELS). Facilitates data meetings, tracks teacher growth and student outcomes, communicates urgency around Indiana K–3 reading milestones, supports reading intervention programs (e.g., UFLI, SIOP-aligned strategies), and partners with leadership to set instructional priorities. Maintains coaching logs and data-tracking for accountability and reflection; supports remote summer tasks and summer availability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Valid Indiana teaching license
- Indiana Reading Endorsement — required
- Minimum 3 years of successful K–3 classroom teaching experience
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, or lead adult learners
- Deep knowledge of Indiana K–3 reading milestones, IREAD-3 standards, and early literacy best practices
- Comfort with data analysis — you can read a data report, explain what it means, and turn it into next steps
- High level of professionalism, punctuality, and reliability — you model what you expect
- Strong communication skills — clear, direct, warm, and solution-focused
- Experience administering and interpreting the Core Phonics Screener — required
- Experience administering and interpreting Acadience Reading (DIBELS) — required
