Job Summary
K-2 Teacher responsible for delivering core academic instruction, developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with district curriculum, assessing student learning, and supervising classroom activities. Collaborates with special education teachers to adapt curricula per IEPs, manages student behavior, maintains records and reports, communicates professionally with parents and community, and participates in staff development. Requires a Bachelor's degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements specific to the subject/level, plus one year of student teaching or approved internship. Will sponsor extracurricular activities as assigned and direct instructional aides/volunteers in support of student growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
