Job Summary
The K-2 Teacher will provide students with engaging learning activities and experiences in core subjects to promote their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Responsibilities include developing and implementing lesson plans, conducting assessments, modifying curricula for special education students, managing classroom behavior, maintaining effective communication with parents and colleagues, and participating in professional development. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate, demonstrating competency in their assigned subject area.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Current AED and CPR certificate (for Physical Education Teachers)
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
