Job Summary
Deliver academic and functional programming for a Functional Life Skills classroom. Responsibilities include supervising education technicians, coordinating with related service providers and general education staff, and engaging with families. Required skills include knowledge of inclusive programming practices, implementing positive behavior plans, experience with students who have autism spectrum disorders, and proficiency in writing IEPs and other special education paperwork, along with understanding state and federal special education regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Maine Certification as Teacher of Exceptional Students (282) or Teacher of Students with Severe Intellectual and Associated Impairments (286)
- CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) fingerprinting requirement
