Job Summary

All Uncommon Schools teachers implement the network’s curriculum and contribute to student success across grades and subjects. Responsibilities include implementing curricula to meet high academic standards, analyzing assessments to inform differentiated instruction, maintaining a positive, structured learning environment aligned with school values, and communicating effectively with students, families, and colleagues. Teachers will participate in annual orientation and ongoing instructional training, support grade-level and school-wide activities, and embody a commitment to urban youth achievement and the Uncommon educational philosophy. Strong candidates demonstrate self-motivation, teamwork, and a willingness to apply feedback from school leaders; experience in schools and/or urban communities is preferred for experienced roles, with two years of urban public or charter school teaching experience noted as desirable. The role supports a compensation range of $56,000 to $80,000 and includes comprehensive benefits and equal opportunity employment statements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university before employment begins
  • GPA of 2.75 or higher by the time employment begins
  • Valid State Certification and Master’s degree are helpful but not required
